Digital content that works in another language

A translated website must be easy to navigate as well as easy to read. We work on the copy visitors see throughout their journey, from a search result and a landing page to a form, confirmation message or help article.

Support shaped around your content

01

Websites and landing pages

Page copy, navigation, calls to action and metadata adapted to the intended audience.

02

Apps and product interfaces

Buttons, labels, onboarding and error messages translated with screen context and character limits in mind.

03

Email and support content

Campaign emails, notifications and help-centre articles with consistent product vocabulary.

Follow the whole visitor journey

Pages and the content between them

A visitor encounters more than headings and paragraphs. Navigation, search labels, form instructions, validation messages and confirmation emails all need a consistent voice. A content inventory helps avoid a polished landing page leading to untranslated steps.

Context for short interface text

A word such as “Open” can be an action or a status. Screenshots and string identifiers help resolve that difference. We work with your team’s character limits and identify copy that needs more space, rather than shorten it until its meaning is lost.

Review after content is placed

Text can look different once it enters a template. An agreed staging review can check truncated labels, misplaced content and wording in context. Your development team remains responsible for implementing changes, testing functionality and publishing the site.

Preparing your project

A clear brief makes better work possible

Share a page list or content export, screenshots, target markets and any character limits. Include navigation and transactional messages, not just main page copy. If you need an in-context review, provide a staging link and agree that review in the scope.

What to send

  • A page inventory or export with stable page and string identifiers.
  • Screenshots, character limits and relevant form or email flows.
  • Target markets, product terminology and access for any agreed staging review.

Example brief

What your project could look like

A registration journey might include a landing page, account form, error messages and welcome email. Translating them together keeps the same account and subscription terms visible at each step.

What you receive

  • Translated copy mapped to the agreed page or string identifiers.
  • Notes on space constraints or missing context, plus an in-context review if agreed.

Scope boundaries

CMS entry, software development, functional testing and keyword research need their own agreed scope.

Your questions, answered

Will you publish the translated content?

Translation and content review are scoped separately from development or publishing. We agree the handoff format with your team before starting.

Can you translate SEO titles and descriptions?

Yes. Provide the target market, page purpose and keyword research if available. We adapt titles and descriptions naturally; search rankings cannot be guaranteed.

How should we send recurring website updates?

Provide the changed source strings with stable identifiers, the current translation and screenshots where context has changed. We can then identify the update scope without assuming the entire website needs retranslating.

How do I get a price and timeline?

Describe the project, languages, volume and preferred deadline in the quote form and attach your document. Without a document, use Get in touch or email translations@idiomly.ca. We respond within one business day and confirm pricing and timing after reviewing the material.
