Website Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Idiomly handles information received through this website and enquiries about our language services. Project-specific confidentiality and handling requirements should be agreed before documents are shared.
Information you provide
The contact form requires your name, email address, organization and message. The quote form requires your name, email address, organization, languages, service, project details and at least one document. These details help us assess your project and respond. Attached documents may contain additional information; share only what is necessary for your request.
Please provide only what is necessary to describe your project. Remove unrelated personal details from sample documents. If you send information about someone else, ensure you are authorized to share it for the intended service.
Purposes and your choices
Information supplied with an enquiry is used to answer questions, assess the work, prepare a quote, and communicate about the project. For accepted work, relevant information is also used to deliver the service, handle revisions, and manage associated business records.
Submitting a service enquiry is not a newsletter subscription. If you do not want to use the form, you can email us instead. You can ask us to stop using your information for an optional purpose; this may limit our ability to respond or provide the requested service.
Service providers and processing locations
Cloudflare hosts the website, and the contact endpoint sends form messages through Resend to Idiomly’s enquiry mailbox. Email providers process messages and any attachments sent through email. Hosting and communications services receive technical information needed to deliver and protect their services.
These providers may process information outside Canada. Processing locations depend on the provider and service configuration; this website does not promise Canadian-only storage. If a project requires restrictions on location or access, discuss them before submitting confidential material.
Retention and confidentiality
Information should be kept only for the purposes for which it is needed, including responding to an enquiry, completing agreed work, resolving a dispute, or meeting applicable record-keeping obligations. Retention needs differ between project files, correspondence, and financial records; this policy does not set a single deletion period for every category.
Ask about the retention and deletion arrangements for your project before sharing sensitive files. A deletion request may be subject to legal or contractual record-keeping requirements. No website or email service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, corrections, and concerns
To ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern, email translations@idiomly.ca with the subject ‘Privacy request’. Describe the request without including unnecessary identity documents.
We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records. Requests are subject to applicable law, including any exceptions protecting other people’s information. We will explain any applicable restriction. You may also contact the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your concern.
